Faith, Hope, and Charity

Hey everyone,
Sister Roberts and I with Sarah - when She Came to Church

Remember our friend Sarah from last week? She is doing great! She came to church yesterday! She is so cute. We did the Stop Smoking Workshop (A special workshop that lasts for a week, that was designed by missionaries to help people stop smoking) with her and she has been doing great! It is a very strict program and she has been very obedient to it and doing all that she needs to do. When we talked to her yesterday she says that she feels great! We truly love Sarah and she is ready for the gospel.

I mentioned it before, but Sarah has had a rough past. She has been through a lot and she has made some bad choices in the past. There are lots of people that don't feel like she is ready and just about everyone that we talk to about her says something like "I hope she's changed" or "Make sure she isn't lying to you". It is so sad, because they aren't giving her the second chance that she deserves. Sarah is an amazing person and I love her so much. She is changing her life and I have a lot of hope for her. She is a different person now, because the gospel changes hearts. We all need to love Sarah just as much as anyone else. She is just as much of a child of God as you and I, and He loves her just as much. We need to show charity towards her and any others who may have made mistakes (that's everyone because we ALL make mistakes), because Christ is forgiving and that is how we need to strive to be.

"Wherefore, if a man have faith he must needs have hope; for without faith there cannot be any hope. And again, behold I say unto you that he cannot have faith and hope, save he shall be meek, and lowly of heart. If so, his faith and hope is vain, for none is acceptable before God, save the meek and lowly in heart; and if a man be meek and lowly in heart, and confesses by the power of the Holy Ghost that Jesus is the Christ, he must needs have charity; for if he have not charity he is nothing; wherefore he must needs have charity." Moroni 7:42-44

We have to have hope for others, just as our Savior has hope for us. He loves us and he wants us to become better through him. When we have the faith, hope and charity has He did, we can see others in a better way and hope for a better future for everyone. Forget about the past and remember that the Atonement is real. As we come unto Christ and repent, we will be forgiven.

#Ponderize Mosiah 26:29 "Therefore I say unto you, Go; and whosoever transgresseth against me, him shall ye judge according to the sins which he has committed; and if he confess his sins before thee and me, and repenteth in the sincerity of his heart, him shall ye forgive, and I will forgive him also."
